Qianglu diesel engine removes front crankshaft oil seal

Detailed Description:

John Deere John Deere Diesel Engine Disassembly of Front Crankshaft Oil Seal-Two-Piece or Combination

1. Remove the polyester V-belt.

2. Remove the shock absorber / pulley or pulley from the crankshaft as described earlier in this chapter.

3. Inspect the oil seal (A) for wear, damage, or leaks.

Important note: When removing the combined oil seal, a hole must be drilled on the outer edge of the oil seal. The screw will tighten the oil seal on the wear ring, which can pull the wear sleeve and the oil seal together.

4. Punch a center hole at 12 o'clock on the oil seal and drill a 1 / 8-inch hole.

5. Use JDG22 oil seal remover or JDG719 oil seal puller adapter, cooperate with JDE38-2 slide handle and JDE38-3 slide hammer (B) to remove the oil seal from the timing gear cover. Be careful not to damage the oil seal hole in the timing gear cover.

B-Oil Seal Removal Tool

John Deere John Deere Deer Diesel Engine Disassembly of Crankshaft Wear Sleeve-Two-piece Oil Seal

1. Use JDE81-1 or JDE83 flywheel rotation tool to rotate the crankshaft, and use JDG1571 or JDE81-4 timing pin to lock the flywheel.

2. Withdraw the fastening screws and place the collet in the JDG992-1 front wear sleeve puller tool on the cam edge of the crankshaft until the inner diameter of the thread contacts the wear sleeve.

Note: When the chuck is screwed onto the wear sleeve, it may be necessary to press inwards.

3. Screw the collet onto the wear sleeve and secure it firmly. Use a long handle wrench to tighten the collet until the wear sleeve is screwed onto the crank flange.

4. Lubricate the threads of the fastening screws. Tighten the retaining screws until the cam edge of the wear sleeve is at least 4 mm (0.16 inch) from the crank gear.

5. Loosen the fastening screws and remove the threaded collet from the wear sleeve.

6. Use the 313727 three-jaw chuck (with narrow jaw chuck) in the JDG992-2 front wear sleeve puller tool to clamp the outer diameter of the wear sleeve flange, and install the 221761 end cap and 311099 fastening screws.

7. Put the 221760 wear-resistant cover on the chuck and fix the puller assembly.

Note: If the cam edge of the wear sleeve starts to roll during the removal process, the puller assembly should be removed, and the wear sleeve should be caught with a wider jaw chuck.

8. Tighten the fastening screws until the wear sleeve is removed from the crank flange.

9. Clean crankshaft flange with Brake Kleen, Ignition Cleaner or equivalent.

Installed John Deere John Deere diesel engine crankshaft wear sleeve-two-piece oil seal

Note: Some John Deere John Deere diesel engines manufactured between 1999 and 2000 are not equipped with a front wear sleeve; it is recommended to use a wear sleeve for maintenance before replacing the front oil seal.

1. Apply LOCTITE® 680 Fixative to the inner surface of the new wear sleeve.

2. Install a wear sleeve (A) on the crankshaft head. The cam edge of the wear sleeve should face the crankshaft.

A – wear sleeve

Note: The new electronic fuel system John Deere John Deere diesel engine (VP44 or DE10 injection pump) and all four-valve cylinder head John Deere John Deere diesel engine have a timing gear in front of the crankshaft.

On some John Deere John Deere diesel engines, some gaskets need to be made and placed into the installation tool to set the wear sleeve depth properly.

3. Attach the mounting tool (B) from the front wear sleeve tool kit to the wear sleeve (C). Set the wear resistance to the correct depth with a damper. See "Front Oil Seal / Abrasion Sleeve Installation Table" earlier in this step.

4. Remove all sealant from crankshaft flange and wear sleeve outer surface.

Install John Deere John Deere diesel engine crankshaft front oil seal or combined oil seal / wear sleeve-straight shaft crankshaft

Note: To ensure the correct depth of the oil seal installation, refer to the "Front Oil Seal / Abrasion Sleeve Installation Table" earlier in this step.

1. Check and clean the oil seal hole in the timing gear cover. Check for scratches or burrs. Sand the rough surface with a medium-grain abrasive cloth.

Important Note: To ensure correct installation, the outer diameter of the crankshaft and wear sleeve must be cleaned with Brake Kleen, IgnitionCleaner or equivalent, and air-sealed before installing the oil seal (C).

2. Install the JDG954-2 adapter (A) on the crankshaft head and tighten the cap screws.

Important: The oil must not touch the coating on the outer surface of the oil seal.

3. Apply a layer of clean engine oil to the oil seal edges and install the oil seal (C) on the flange of the crankshaft. (The end of the oil-sealed spring should be installed in the timing gear cover first.)

4. If used, place JDG954-4 gasket (E) on the adapter. (See "Front Oil Seal / Abrasion Sleeve Installation Table" earlier in this step.)

5. Attach the JDG954-1 installer (B) to the adapter.

Note: Some timing gear covers made in the past have a groove in the conduit bushing to allow the cast mark to pass.

6. Place JDG954-6 Conduit Bushing (D) on the installer and oil seal.

7. Tighten the nut until the oil seal (C) is installed to the correct depth of the timing gear cover.

8. Install a shock absorber / pulley or pulley on the crankshaft. (See the "Installing the Pulley or Shock Absorber and Pulley" section of this chapter.)

9. Install the polyester V-belt.

Note: To ensure that the oil seal is installed to the correct depth, see the "Front Oil Seal / Abrasion Sleeve Installation Table" earlier in this step.

1. Check and clean the oil seal hole in the timing gear cover. Check for scratches or burrs. Sand the rough surface with a medium-grain abrasive cloth.

Important Note: In order to ensure the correct installation, the outer diameter of the crankshaft and wear sleeve must be cleaned with Brake Kleen, Ignition Cleaner or equivalent, and air-sealed before installing the oil seal.

2. Install the JDG954-8 fastening screws (A) on the crankshaft head until the screws are positioned at the bottom of the crankshaft.

3. Install the JDG954-7 adapter (B) on the fastening screw and fix it with the nut (C).

Important: The oil must not touch the coating on the outer surface of the oil seal.

4. Apply a layer of clean engine oil to the oil seal edges and seal the oil on the flange of the crankshaft. (The end of the oil-sealed spring is first fitted into the timing gear cover.)

5. If it is a used part, place the JDG954-4 gasket (G) on the adapter. (See "Front Oil Seal / Abrasion Sleeve Installation Table" earlier in this step.)

Note: Some timing gear covers made in the past have a groove in the conduit bushing to allow the cast mark to pass. 6. Place the JDG954-1 installer (D) on the adapter. Will JDG954-

6 Conduit bushing (E) is installed on the installer and oil seal.

7. Install the washer and nut on the adapter. Tighten the nut until the oil seal (F) is installed to the correct depth in the timing gear cover.

8. Install a shock absorber / pulley or pulley on the crankshaft. (See the "Installing the Pulley or Shock Absorber and Pulley" section of this chapter.)

9. Install the polyester V-belt.
